Current Timetable (until 10 December 2011)
There are a few minor changes to the rail timetable introduced
in May largely affecting some arrival and departure times at Ayr and also times to late evening trains at intermediate
stations to Stranraer.
Mondays to Saturdays Stranraer to Ayr
The 1005 from Stranraer
to Glasgow Central will now arrive three minutes later at 1135 but departure times from stations on the route
between Stranraer and Ayr are unaffected.
The 2112 from Stranraer to Glasgow Central now leaves Girvan at
2205 and Maybole at 2221 arriving Ayr at 2233 but still reaching Glasgow Central at 2325.
Sundays
Stranraer to Ayr
There are no changes to the timetable. Note the 1945 from Stranraer still continues
to travel via Kilmarnock.
Mondays to Saturdays Ayr to Stranraer
The 1131 from Ayr to
Girvan will now depart at this time Mondays to Saturdays not just on Saturdays as before.
The 1231 from Ayr to
Stranraer will now depart one minute later at 1232.
The 2137 from Ayr to Stranraer will
now depart Ayr two minutes earlier at 2135, Maybole two minutes earlier at 2146, Barrhill
one minute later at 2227 arriving at Stranraer one minute later at 2301.
The 2337
from Ayr to Stranraer will now depart Ayr one minute later Mondays to Fridays at 2338 and Maybole one
minute later Mondays to Fridays at 2349 (Saturday times remain unaltered), Girvan three minutes later
Mondays to Saturdays at 0008, Barrhill three minutes later Mondays to Saturdays at 0027 arriving at Stranraer
one minute later at 0101.
Sundays Ayr to Stranraer
The
1231 service now leaves one minute later at 1232.

In addition there are three other services to Stranraer and two services from Stranraer that don't connect with the
Stena ferry service and other local services to/from Girvan.
Passengers should note that particularly at weekends

introduced four pocket rail guides for the Stranraer line, one each for Maybole, Girvan, Barrhill and Stranraer stations.
They are different from the First ScotRail timetables insomuch as they are station
specific.
